It's unanimous.  Alumni, Fellows, and GCs on its Board of Advisors tell us the ACC NCR Leadership Academy is "impressive" and fulfills its promise of teaching the tools and skills you need to meet the unique leadership challenges and opportunities that in-house counsel face.  So, don't you want to join the Class of 2020?

Fellows in the ACC NCR Leadership Academy:
  • set personal growth and leadership goals,
  • develop skills to become a trusted advisor and to navigate the partner/guardian balance inherent in the in-house role, and
  • build strong professional relationships and expand their in-house networks across an array of industries and organizations in the National Capital Region.
Take a few minutes to LEARN MORE:
  • Visit the Leadership Academy website to read more about the Academy's exceptional faculty, dynamic and distinguished Board of Advisors, and outstanding curriculum specifically tailored for in-house counsel leaders.  Click here for guidance and eligibility criteria on who is a good candidate.

HonorING 20 Years of Leadership and Friendship

As Executive Director of ACC NCR from 1998 to 2018, Ilene touched the lives, careers, and businesses of numerous attorneys, professionals, legal departments, law firms, and companies. Since she transitioned to senior director in April 2018, we have received an outpouring of interest in recognizing her impact. The campaign allows all of us to say thank you and to continue her legacy of service, as well as support one of ACC NCR’s most important efforts, its Corporate Scholars Program.
The ACC NCR Corporate Scholars Program is dedicated to increasing diversity in the in-house community by placing diverse law students in summer internships with member legal departments. Since 2004 and over the course of 15 summers, ACC NCR has placed more than 100 Corporate Scholars in summer internships.
The Ilene G. Reid ACC NCR Corporate Scholars Fund is a component fund of the Greater Washington Community Foundation, a 501(c)3 public charity. To make a contribution by credit card, go to: Checks should be made out to the Greater Washington Community Foundation (note the Ilene Reid ACC NCR Corporate Scholars Fund in the memo line) and may be given to an ACC NCR staff member or mailed to:  Greater Washington Community Foundation 1325 G Street NW, Suite 480, Washington, DC 20005.  Thank you to all those who have donated or pledged to the Fund thus far.  Click here for a list of contributors as of January 13, 2019.  The total amount raised in Ilene’s honor will be announced at the ACC NCR Corporate Scholars Reception in June 2019.
